Infantasize

What is Infantasize all about?

Welcome to my blog about living with infertility and moving forward.

After years of fertility treatments that resulted in four unexplained miscarriages and a miserable me, I recently chose a different path: adoption. Thankfully that decision has already proved to be an incredibly life-changing and positive step to finding happiness and the person I lost somewhere along the way.
I'm new to blogging, but have wanted to share my story for a long time now. I hope to provide readers with an honest reflection of the true impact of infertility and what life beyond treatment can be like.
I want to show the highs and lows that come from the decisions I have made and also invite other perspectives on these matters from my friends and family members. If my posts should offer familiarity, comfort or perspective to anyone out there, then that would be a splendid outcome!

*Please note, this blog is not for anyone to use to offer medical advice, talk about pregnancy or specific children. I am not interested in comments that promote wishful thinking in others, nor do I want to make anyone feel uncomfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings. If my more opinionated tones should offend, I sincerely apologise here and now!
Yours, Alexandra

Alexandra

Creator and Blogger

Hello and welcome! My name is Alexandra and I am currently the only blogger on this site but hope to add guest writers as Infantasize evolves.
I'm a teacher by trade and a newly appointed parent of two via adoption. After many years spent struggling to add to my family through assisted conception, I have a lot to get off my chest about my coming to terms with infertility and wish to create a space for people with similar issues and experiences to come to and feel less isolated than I did at some of my lowest moments.
Thanks to my technically able husband, my blog is on its way. Please let me know how you find it and help me make it useful.
